very inspiring lyrics. something i learnt from a special someone is that lyrics contains many meanings.. more than just about couple love. but also about life
I read a note my Grandma wrote back in 1923 Grandpa kept it in his coat and he showed it once to me He said "Boy, you might not understand but a long long time ago Grandma's daddy didn't like me none but I loved your Grandma so
We had this crazy plan to meet and run away together Get married in the first town we came to and live forever But nailed to the tree where we were supposed to meet instead I found this letter and this is what it said"
If you get there before I do don't give up on me I'll meet you when my chores are through I don't know how long I'll be here But I'm not gonna let you down Darlin' wait and see And between now and then till I see you again I'll be loving you Love, Me
I read those words just hours before my Grandma passed away In the doorway of a church where me and Grandpa stopped to pray I know I'd never seen him cry in all my fifteen years But as he said these words to her his eyes filled up with tears
And between now and then till I see you again I'll be loving you Love, Me
Love exists in different form. It's so complex that often it is said that love cannot be explained, except for some feelings/emotions that translate into physicality. The strongest being family..That's why blood is thicker than water, when one's in trouble. Above lyrics is not just man-woman love but also family love. Family is fudge, mostly sweet with a couple of nuts in it. Haha...
Religions are refuge/consolation for humans against the unknowns. I honestly believe that religion is necessary to keep people sane and grounded.
On a psychological level, religion is provide a spellcheck on morality. It instils fear in people, so that society still conforms to certain social orders and not chao. Before democracy originates in Ancient Greek Society, religion is what governs tribal groups and civilization. Even in China/Egypt, 5-6000 years ago, emperor/Pharoah is more of a symobl for commoners to worship than a governing figure.(Even if they are termed as ruler) More often than not, their most important contribution is to appear during certain festivals to give offerings to some gods I believed.
i wasnt refering to the first song lyrics. just in general, this special somone mentioned that chinese songs are all about couple love and english songs have broader themes that include life philosophies including the concept of time. and thats so true. thanks for opening for ears to good music :)

WHAT IS TIME?
What is time?
Is it the autumn leaves that change?
Or the snow that floats from the sky
What is Time?
Is it the air we breathe?
Or the wings that teach
The new born bird to fly
Who can tell?
I don’t know
Will we change?
Will we grow?
What is time?
Is it eternity
In heaven
Or just a hope for peace on earth
Where’s the time
Gone in a blink of an eye
But with every blink
a birth
We live
We learn

We love
In time
We give
We yearn
We grow
In time
Time for change
Its time to care
It’s not too late
Don’t despair
Reach inside your heart
To find the joy the love
To share with all mankind
For all we know
All we have
Is time

I believed that lyrics is about time, not love.
